What is the feasibility of eucalyptus timber in cold region?

Actually, we are asked to construct a villa in high altitude with cold climate. We are trying to use alternative wood as eucalyptus is a hot region tree. Hence, what is the feasibility of eucalyptus in colder region. As we reckon it is unsuitable. Any advice and reference too.
