What will trigger you to buy an original 100% handmade oil painting, what theme,with/without frame?

I need to write a college feasibility study paper and the information can be very useful. I have taken a positive assumption that there are several art lovers in and around our communities who will spend some money to buy a visual that is likely to give them and other viewers a sense of happiness.But to write my paper with courage of conviction I require supporting data.Please help by sharing your thoughts.
