Does the 1992 ford f150 xlt need a relay or canceller for hid conversion kit?

I am buying a hid conversion kit for my truck and it gives me the options if i want the canceller and relay parts im not sure if i need it or not, can someone help me pleasee?(: i dont want to make a mistake
